			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/lightning/">Lightening</a> is the Calendar extension for <a href="http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird/">Mozilla Thunderbird</a>, the e-mail client from the same folks who brought you Firefox.  For some reason or another, Lightening doesn&#8217;t seem to allow recurring tasks to be be marked as done for each individual instance of the task.</p>
<p>For example, if you need to to turn in a TPS report every Friday, you&#8217;d set up a recurring weekly task.  But after you mark the task as done the first time, it will always display as &#8220;100% done&#8221; in the task list. Not only that, but when you get a reminder for the task for the second or third week, after clicking &#8220;Details&#8221; from the Reminder window, the task detail shows the task as 100% completed, even if you never marked it as such for the current week. But even if you click Save and Close for the task detail, you&#8217;ll continue to get reminder notices for the task (if you set reminders).</p>
<p>I think this is different from most people&#8217;s conception of how recurring tasks should work, and I don&#8217;t think I am alone. <p>I hope Mozilla fixes this in the next release.</p>
