OK, you’ve heard of the $1000 “I Am Rich” iPhone app, right?
It was a dummy app that did nothing but announce to onlookers that you are rich enough to afford the program. At a thousand dollars, it sold eight copies before Apple pulled the plug on it.
Now there’s a new app trying to claim the “most expensive iPhone app” title. TechCrunch is reporting a group of young lawyers have released the BarMax CA app. It’s a basically a study tool for the California bar exam. It includes 1GB of of text and audio and also sells for $1000 at iTunes.

Granted, $1000 sounds exhorbitant, but compared to the leading brand, BarBri, which costs $3000-4000, it seems like a bargain.

My comments
One the one hand, people are going to be shocked at the price of this bar exam prep app. But, once they find out it’s lawyers who are shelling out, I think they’ll be OK with it.

Holy S.. They actually sold a $1000 app and have people buy it? How gullible can people get? LOL
Some people have more money than sense, I think its really insane that someone would spend this amount just to show off when thousands of kids are starving in the world and a village could survive on that amount for a long time.
