Google

As if Google didn’t have enough reach by being the owner of DoubleClick (the ad firm), it’s buying AdMob, which I just learned is the major (and just about only) ad firm for the phenomal price of three-quarters of a billion dollars.

Apparently AdMob’s focus is on web ads that display when you view a website on a mobile phone and on ads that display on mobile phone applications.

TechCrunch discusses the acquisition here. Google blogged about it. And so did Admob. Google also posted a note for the press.

FTC Good Houskeeping Seal of Approval still required

But, like Oracle’s acquisition of Sun, which is still being held up, the FTC wants to investigate the AdMob buy before it approves it, according to the New York Times Bits Blog. Given that Google’s deal with Yahoo was basically nixed by the Justice Department, it’s anybody’s guess as to who will be serving the ads on your cell phone this year.

My comments

It’s sort of like the frog being slowly boiled as Google continues to buy every company that remotely touches our digital lives, as well as building its own data tentacles. It’s becoming increasingly difficult not to interact with Google even if you don’t want to. At the very least we can be aware of who has information regarding us.

  2. Did you know that you can almost literally ‘hijack’ affiliate traffic, commissions and sales from two of the highest traffic websites on the Internet? The software is super secret right now but if you get there fast, you can end up as one of the exclusive limited number of users. The reason this software is so secret is due to the fact that if everyone had access to it, it would simply cut down on the amount of money that the rest of us could make. What this software actually does is something that you have never seen before. And I guarantee you’ll understand the genius of it within 30 seconds. This software system generates results in as little as 30 seconds, so there’s no waiting around for traffic or to “see if this works”. If you are also tired of jumping through all of those hoops or if you are new to Internet marketing and would like to earn some real income online then you should check this out -> http://tinyurl.com/chdiscount

Coupon codes are very easy to use. Some of our discounts aren’t even codes, and they can in fact be redeemed by simply following a link to make your purchase.

  4. This may not be the best place to inquire about this, but I am looking for a pest control business in the pittsburgh area and have no method to find out who’s the most effective. I located this business that’s actually close to me and wanted to see if anybody has any reviews on them. Spectrum Pest Control, 3058 West Liberty Avenue, Dormont, PA 15216 – (412) 446-2802

I do not know whether it’s just me or if perhaps everybody else encountering issues with your website. It appears as though some of the written text within your content are running off the screen. Can somebody else please provide feedback and let me know if this is happening to them as well? This could be a issue with my web browser because I’ve had this happen previously. Kudos
