Is YouTube slow for you? YouTube’s testing out a new beta mode called Feather. It’s supposed to be a lite version of YouTube with the fluff removed for a faster response. Think of it as YouTube the way it used to be.
Anyway, you go to the Feather URL, here:
http://www.youtube.com/feather_beta
Click on Enable. Now when you go to a YouTube video, the page looks a little different.

Wow great, I didn’t know about the YouTube feather feature, but I knew about another project called YouTube Cosmic Panda which can be activated pretty easy by going to http://www.youtube.com/cosmicpanda . This Panda update is mostly a design change and is pretty cool even though is in beta testing at the time. You will see that everything is better from fonts to positioning and comment display.
